Nick Lambesis is Founder and CEO of Tipping Point Inc. – a strategic consultancy based in Southern California. Nick founded Tipping Point Inc. with the same formula he has used for over 35 years in the advertising industry – partnering with ambitious entrepreneurs ready to become cultural phenomenons while having tremendous fun navigating to higher levels of success.
Nick Lambesis was inspired to begin his advertising industry journey in 1972 while working with Ben Goddard who gave him a copy of George Lois’s first book: “George, be careful.” Nick already knew his work, having been a huge fan of the iconic Esquire magazine covers Lois creative directed in the Sixties. Because George was also of Greek decent, Nick took the liberty of calling George while he was in the process of creating The Lambesis Agency in Phoenix. A few years later, inspired by the work Lee Clow at Chiat Day was doing for Nike, Nick moved the agency to San Diego in 1987, working with some of the best freelance creative in Los Angeles. Along with wife and COO Victoria Lambesis, soon the two-person agency began establishing itself as an international creative boutique, winning a Bronze and a Sliver pencil at the One Show, a Belding Bowl in LA, a feature in a marketing textbook and Best of Show in the San Diego creative show.
In 1993, one of the most talented freelance creatives Nick ever worked with, Chad Farmer came down to join Nick at his agency and took The Lambesis Agency to the stratosphere. Chad is a truly gifted creative and continues to build success upon success with The Lambesis Agency, a small, powerful independent branding agency, emphasizing true integration and a wide range of strategic, creative and design capabilities.
The Lambesis Agency is known for breakthrough creative and the development of iconic international brands first documented in a 12-page story in The New Yorker by Malcolm Gladwell (1998). The response to this article was tremendous, eventually leading to the creation of his first best-selling book, The Tipping Point (2000). There the work The Lambesis Agency did for Airwalk occupies the entire 6th chapter case history. It tells the story of the agency’s role in the meteoric rise of Airwalk. In just two years the tiny shoe company went from a $20 million in revenue to $300 million. As Malcolm Gladwell so aptly put it: “Airwalk tipped.” It became one of the World’s largest shoe companies in record time. USA today named Airwalk the third “coolest brand in America.”
This blueprint for marketing instantly became required reading in every college marketing course, featured in advertising text books and a must read for every executive in consumer marketing. More importantly, this approach has continued for The Lambesis Agency and it’s clients. Many current and past Lambesis clients have also reached iconic status, becoming blockbuster international brands: Dasani (Coke), bebe, Campari, Skyy Vodka, Physicians Formula and Tacori. Together their brand values have and are experiencing phenomenal growth–totaling $5 billion in sales increases. Most recently, Lambesis has added three more Coke brands: Fuse, Gold Peak Tea and Honest Tea, making The Lambesis Agency the only agency in the world to have four Coke brands.

Nick has devoted his life to mentoring and tutoring on many levels–whether it’s at work, his college students, or young people at charities like Reality Changers and Casa de Amsted.
